WHY VISIT VILA NOVA DE FAMALICÃO?
Vila Nova de Famalicão is the land of knowledge and culture.
Several of the most beautiful Portuguese books were written with this city as background. In addition to this, the cultural dynamism of Vila Nova de Famalicão stands out, through the advertising of Casa das Artes. The culture is a tourist attraction!
However, the preservation and enhancement of cultural heritage are priorities that have been worked hard and with recognized merit. Examples of this are: Casa de Camilo, Center for Surrealism Studies, Bernardino de Machado Museum, Textile Industry Museum and Lousado Railway Museum.
The richness and patrimonial beauty are also present in the examples of Romanesque art, such as the Church of Santa Eulália of the Monastery of Arnoso.
There are several vestiges of prehistoric and Roman occupation, such as the Roman Villa in Perrelos.
Cod is prepared in a unique way in Vila Nova de Famalicão ... A delight for all palates!
The Carnival and the popular festival in honor of Santo António are the greatest examples of fun in this city. Come and have fun!
